LARRY JAMES ANDERSON, age 75 of Waseca, passed away on the morning of Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Waseca on June 12, 1944, Larry was the son of Lester and Helen (Holteen) Anderson.  He attended school in Waseca, graduating with the class of 1962.  On October 22, 1977 Larry was married to Lu Ziemke at the North Waseca Lutheran Church.  He worked with E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca for over 30 years, and later worked for Itron in Waseca until his retirement in 2009.  Larry was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Gophers, and he coached the Damons Lounge womens softball team for many years.  He was a member of Waseca American Legion Post #228 for many years, and he enjoyed golfing, classic rock music, and attending concerts with friends and family.
Larry is survived by his wife, Lu of Waseca; his son, Bradley Anderson and his significant other Serena Frazier of Waseca; one sister, Marlene Donahue of Mankato; his mother-in-law, Joyce Ziemke; six siblings-in-law, Terry (Julie) Ziemke of Waseca, Linda Ziemke and her daughter Carrie Ziemke of Waseca, Dean Ziemke of Morgan, Tim Ziemke of Owatonna, Todd (Jaylene) Ziemke of Massachusetts, and Gregg "Tank" Ziemke of Waseca; and many nieces; nephews; and friends.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; two brothers; his father-in-law, Donald Ziemke; and two brothers-in-law, Mike Donahue and Scott Ziemke.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Scott Olson officiating.  Private interment at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca will take place at a later date.
