Kent Dale Bartholmey

KENT DALE BARTHOLMEY, age 68 of Waseca, died on the afternoon of Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Benedictine Living Community in Owatonna.

Kent was born in Waseca County on April 16, 1956 to parents William and Deloris (Shoars) Bartholmey. He attended school in New Richland and graduated from New Richland High School. On June 6, 1981 he was married to DeLaine McMillen in Albert Lea. Kent loved cooking and was employed in the restaurant industry all his life. He was a former cook at Papa Chips in Waseca alongside the owners Milo and Karla Decker. As a younger man he also enjoyed bowling and playing pool.

Kent is survived by his mother, Deloris Bartholmey of New Richland; his daughter, Sarah (Brian) Marzinske of Janesville; his son, Brandon Bartholmey of Waseca; two grandchildren, Hannah and Jesse Marzinske; five siblings, Alan “Bart”, Brenda, Bill, Terry, and Linda; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife; a sister, Diane; and a nephew, Jesse.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca.

A graveside service will immediately follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
