KENNETH C. GEYER, age 91 of Waterville died on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home.
Born on May 1, 1926 in Elysian, Minnesota, he was the son of Theodore and Agnes (Dehn) Geyer. He attended school in rural Le Sueur County and went on to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII. Kenneth married Mildred Chase on January 19, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville. He worked in construction and also farmed. He and Mildred also raised many foster children over the years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and the VFW.
He is survived by two sons, Dane (Pat) Geyer of Owatonna and Bill Hinderschidt of New Richland; four daughters, Rebecca (Bruce) Blasing of Waterville, Sharon Wolf of Waterville, Debra Crow Dog of Duluth, and Becky (Howard) Lundin of Burnsville; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three grandchildren, one sister, and three brothers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating. Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour before services at the church.
