Kay Frances Giese

KAY FRANCES GIESE, age 81, died on the evening of Monday, October 2, 2023 at the New Richland Care Center.

Kay was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota on October 17, 1941 to parents Arthur Wallace and Grace Lucille (Baldwin) Hotzler.  She graduated from Mountain Lake High School.  Kay was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Wenisch.  Together they had four children and were later divorced.  Kay later married Earl Guse and they had one child together before divorcing.  Kay was previously employed by Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan, Ehler’s Department Store in Redwood Falls, the Waseca Daily Journal in Waseca, Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca, and finally the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Waterville.  Kay enjoyed bowling, playing golf, cooking, embroidery and spending time with friends and family.

Kay is survived by four children, Deborah (Kevin) Moldestad of Farmington, Richard (Joan) Wenisch of Morgan, Mark (Virginia) Wenisch of Waseca, and Brandon (Penny) Guse of New Richland; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Janie (Steve) Friesen; a brother-in-law, Raymond Richman; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Diane Wenisch; a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Don Sigstad; and another sister, Illene “Bunny” Richman.
