Kathleen 'Katz' Condon May 7, 1919 - December 29, 2012

Kathleen "Katz" Condon, age 93 of Faribault, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Kathleen Jenny Tornes, the daughter of Stein and Anna (Evenson) Tornes, was born on May 7, 1919 in Mitchell, SD. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Edmond Condon on September 7, 1936 at St. Helena Catholic Church in Minneapolis. She was a homemaker for her family and with her husband farmed for over 50 years in Warsaw Township, Rice County, MN. Edmond preceded her in death on December 6, 2008. Katz had a passion for the arts and especially loved to paint. She previously was a member of the Faribault Art Center and had many of her pieces on display; even winning a Blue Ribbon at State Fair. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Jean) Condon of Faribault, Joyce (Rodney) Bokman of Faribault, and Donald (Carolyn) Condon of New Richland; 17 grandchildren, Ronald Johnson, Stephen Condon Jr., James Condon, Robert Condon, Christina Sobiech, Angela Heyer, Jolene Leet, Michael Bokman, Thomas Bokman, Melissa Bokman, Jeremy Bokman, Valerie Christensen, Merry Chris Condon, Gregory Condon, Jeffrey Condon, Debbie Duryee and Sherry Condon; 28 great grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Parker Condon, Evan Condon, Alyssa Condon, Cody Condon, Katelyn Condon, Jenna Condon, Isabelle Sobiech, Vincent Sobiech, Dylan Heyer, Logan Heyer, Blake Heyer, Brennan Heyer, Madelyn Leet, Connor Leet, Alex Leet, Andrew Bokman, Matthew Bokman, Jordan

Bokman, Alec Bokman, Mariah Bokman, Taylor Bokman, Tasha Bokman, Jedda Bokman, Spencer Christensen, Samuel Christensen, Amelia Duryee, and Jacqueline Duryee; sister, O. Marie Mosal of Minneapolis; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond; parents; sons, Robert Charles Condon and Stephen Condon; granddaughter, Suzanne Kopischke; grandson, Patrick Condon; brother, Stanley Tornes; and sister, Esther Keltner.
