KATHLEEN ANN KRAUSE, age 86, of rural Janesville died on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Kathleen was born on November 18, 1933, in Mankato to Lawrence and Sylvesta (Van Thuyne) Mans. She attended country school before attending Good Counsel Academy, graduating with the class of 1951. On May 31, 1955, Kathleen was united in marriage to Robert William Krause at St. Michael Catholic Church in Belgrade Township, Nicollet County. Together they made their home on the Krause Family Farm in Freedom Township, Waseca County where they raised their family of ten children. Kathleen dedicated homemaker always tending to her family’s needs. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and baking especially her twisty donuts which was a family favorite. She also enjoyed playing cards and being apart of the local birthday/card club. Above all else, her faith and family were most important. Kathleen was a devote Catholic and faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf where she was active with the CCW, St. Joseph Quilters, and the church choir. She especially cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Kathleen is survived by her six sons: Steve of Janesville, Michael (Debbie) Sr. of Des Moines, IA, Richard (Grace) of Huntingdon, PA, Tom (Cheryl) of Janesville, John (Cathy) of Mankato, and Jim of Janesville; four daughters: Patricia (Rick Evans) Wayne of Salisbury, NC, Susan (Dennis) Wayne of Kellogg, Linda (Russell) Cabasal of Waseca, and Diane (Jerome) Stenzel of New Richland; twenty-one grandchildren; over thirty great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn (Grant) Johnson of New Brighton; sister-in-law: Marjorie Buttell of Richfield, cousins and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers-in-law, brother, and niece.
A public visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. Private family services will be held with interment following at Freedom Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Waseca County.
Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf.
