Karla A. Juberien
KARLA ANN (DUBKE) JUBERIEN, age 82 of Waseca, died on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Waseca.
Born in North Mankato on June 13, 1935, Karla was the daughter of Carl and Bernice (Huntress) Dubke. After graduating from Mankato High School in 1953 Karla was married to Henry "Sam" Juberien on December 6, 1957. Over the years Karla and her husband owned and operated the Village Bowl & Tiki Lounge in North Mankato and later the Village Bowl and Playmate Lounge in Waseca. She also worked at Kwik Trip in Owatonna and Waseca and retired from her career with the E.F. Johnson Company in 1991. She was active with Relay for Life and enjoyed playing cards, crafts, painting, shopping, and watching the Twins and the Diamondbacks.
Karla is survived by six children, Jeff (Deb) Juberien of Waseca, Tami Juberien of Waseca, Jon (Darolyn) Juberien of Mankato, Pamela (Wes) Schaper of Waseca, Jay Juberien of Waconia, and Brenda (Craig) Miller of Waseca; thirteen grandchildren, Heather Jellum, Taylor Juberien, Taryn Juberien, William Miller, Thomas Miller, Tatum Juberien, Cooper Juberien, Jessica Macho, Kaylee Lau, Sam Schaper, Abby Schaper, Michael Kunz, and Laura Kunz; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Loren (Elda) Dubke of North Mankato. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Lorraine Spotts.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca. A private family service will be held at a later date.
