Justin Scott Below 42 year old resident of rural Waseca, died unexpectedly due to an automobile accident on Sunday evening, October 29, 2017 in Waseca.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca with Fr. Leif as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Services ~ McRaith Chapel of Waseca. Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Justin Scott Below was born on December 11, 1974 in Waseca to Lynn and Ann (Dibble) Below. He was Baptized as an infant, received his First Holy Communion, and later Confirmed in his Catholic faith all at Church of the Sacred Heart in Waseca. Justin was a 1993 graduate of Waseca High School where he excelled in Wrestling and Golf. He continued his education at University of Wisconsin River Falls where he received a bachelors degree in Agriculture and Farm Business Management. Following his schooling he moved home to work on the family farm, later partnering with his dad and in 2011, he and Carly moved onto the family farm. Together they raised his two children and had one together. He was very proud of receiving the Waseca County Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 2014. Justin loved working with his livestock, spending time in his garden, canning his produce, teaching his whole family to cook lefse, and recently researching genealogy. Justin was very involved with the local 4-H, and enjoyed spending time with his St. Marys Township neighbors making Maple Syrup. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Waseca Lakeside Country Club. He lived for his kids, attending all their activities, he was a great dad. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, and love for activities that would bring his family together.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Ty, Jesse and Grace; parents: Lynn and Ann of Waseca; significant other, Carly Broughton of Waseca; siblings: Angie Breck of Waseca and Jordan of Minneapolis; aunts and uncles: Janet Prail of Janesville, Bob (Dar) Peterson of New Richland, Tom (Bonnie) Crosbie of Owatonna, Scott (Tere) Dibble of Bolivia, Jane (Brian) Nelson of Elk River; nieces: Allison, Emily, Rachel and Theresa Breck; Carlys parents: Daniel and Cheri Broughton; cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Sylvia Below; maternal grandparents, Keith and Barbara Dibble; and his brother, Josh.
