June Kelly June 24, 1925 - February 6, 2011

June A. Kelly "Grandma Kelly," age 85, of Faribault, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault, with the Rev. Erik Lundgren, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will on Wednesday from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. June Anna Thompson, the daughter of Walter and Ann (Gillis) Thompson, was born on June 24, 1925 in Faribault. She attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic School. On June 1, 1946, June was united in marriage to David Kelly at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. David preceded her in death on January 17, 2005. June was a lifelong resident of Faribault and worked various times at the Farmer Seed and Nursery and also at the Faribault Canning Company. She enjoyed going to daily Mass, loved to play bingo and take her trips to the casinos and also enjoyed Hershey Chocolate. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Kelly of Faribault; her two grandchildren Greg Packer and Janice Kalien; her three great grandchildren; her brother Leo Thompson of Faribault and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Janice Packer Kelly and Connie Kelly and her husband David.
