JOSEPH FRANCIS WHEELOCK, age 78 of Waseca, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at his home in Waseca.
Born on March 30, 1937 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Ambrose and Ellen (Maloney) Wheelock.  He attended Sacred Heart High School and later graduated from Moler Barber School.   He married Barbara Bauman on October 27, 1962 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  He owned his own barber shop in Waseca and New Richland for several years.  Joe later worked as a welder at Corchrans in Waseca for 30 years.   He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching the Twins and Vikings, and playing bingo.   He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.
Joe is survived by his wife, Barb; three daughters, Shari (Scott) Miller, Cindy Wheelock, and Barb (Steve) Hansen all of Waseca; six grandchildren, Chad Wheelock, Megan Miller, Joe Miller, Alison Miller, Marcus Hansen, and Aubree Hansen; and one great grandchild, Chloe Wheelock.   He is also survived by two siblings, Richard (Janet) Wheelock of Waseca and Sharon (Jim) Wilker of New Richland and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother in infancy, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 4-7 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca
