John P. Ziegler July 10, 1974 - October 27, 2012

John P. Ziegler, age 38, of Minneapolis and formerly of Janesville, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his home.

Private Family services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville, MN. Interment will be held at the Janesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

John Phillip, the son of Gregory and Anita (McVay) Ziegler, was born on July 10, 1974 in Mankato, MN. John attended Janesville High School and graduated with the class of 1992. After high school he attended South Central College in Mankato and earned his degree in Business Management and Accounting. While in high school John began working at Cub Foods in Mankato and he continued this relationship for over 20 years in different positions with the company. Most recently John had been working for Wells Fargo Bank. John had a great sense of humor and he enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, baking, decorating and animals. One of John''s last wishes was that he wanted his friends and family to smile when thinking of him. Bright colors always made him smile and the family encourages all coming to the visitation to wear something bright.

He is survived by his mother, Anita Ziegler and Ken Schreader of Janesville, MN; by his siblings, Tony (Heather) Ziegler of Lake Crystal, MN, Danny Ziegler and Renae Griffith of Floodwood, MN, Brian (Amy) Ziegler of Janesville, MN and Elisa Ziegler Johnson of Janesville, MN; by his maternal grandmother, Maria McVay of California; by special friends, Jaden Chance and Edward Hopkins, both of Minneapolis and by aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Ziegler, niece Isabella Grace Ziegler, maternal Grandfather, Jack McVay and paternal Grandparents, Phillip and Harriet Ziegler.

Honorary casket bearers are, Tony Ziegler, Danny Ziegler, Brian Ziegler and Jordan Ziegler.
