John Robert Hayes

JOHN ROBERT HAYES, age 54, of Waseca, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St. Mary’s Campus, in Rochester.

He was born on July 17, 1970, in Waseca. The son of Robert and Audrey (Sutter) Hayes. He graduated from Waseca High School, Class of 1988. Throughout his life, John worked in carpentry, for Viracon in Owatonna, as well as a manager for Mobil gas station. He enjoyed hunting, playing softball, and at his core he loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his mother; siblings, Tim (Julie) Hayes, Patty Hayes, Bill (Christie) Hayes, Tom (Stephanie) Hayes, James (Lisa) Hayes, Julie Olsem, Jennifer Willingham; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by, his father, his brother, Joe Hayes, nephew, Howie Hayes, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, at the Waseca VFW.
