John Edward Kelling, age 81, passed away at his rural Waldorf home on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Alma City with Rev. Keith Bilitz, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13 at the church and resume on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

John Kelling was born on November 16, 1936, to Emil and Violet (McMahan) Kelling in Janesville, just minutes after his twin sister, Janice (Bluhm). He was raised on the Kelling Family Farm in rural Waldorf where he lived his entire life. John was a 1954 graduate of Waldorf High School where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. On July 26, 1986, John was united in marriage to Judy Fleury in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
John was a farmer in rural Waldorf throughout his life retiring in 1998. In his spare time he enjoyed coaching basketball at JWP for many years. John loved music, especially anything from Jimmy Buffett. He was a master of working on upholstery and a skilled poet, always writing poems for those he loved. John enjoyed spending time with his family at "Fish Camp" and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John was a faithful member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Alma City. Above all, faith and family were most important to him. John will be dearly missed by many and remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather...
Left to honor John and remember his love is his loving wife of 31 years, Judy, Waldorf; his four children, Jodi Kelling, Mankato; Jennifer (Mark) Jaeger, Madison Lake; Scott (Anne) Kelling, Grand Rapids; and Sarah (Craig) Oslund, Rochester; his nine grandchildren, Bryan (Aubrey) Kelling; Brady (Christina) Kelling; Jill (Manuel) Voth; Cole Jaeger; Jesse (Jacy) Jaeger; Brittney (Ben) Sheeran; Briar Jurrens; Alex Kelling; and Jack Kelling, as well as several great-grandchildren; and his twin sister, Janice Bluhm, Waldorf.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ron Bluhm.
