Joann J. Frantum

JoAnn J. Frantum, age 85 of Pemberton, died peacefully on Monday morning, March 19, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems ~ Mankato.
JoAnn Janet, the daughter of Jasper and Sade (Lange) Ladd, was born on August 25, 1932, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Following her graduation from Morris High School with the class of 1950, JoAnn continued her education as a Clinical Lab Technician in Willmar. On February 8, 1952, she was united in marriage to Harold H. Frantum while he was enlisted in the service. Following his honorable discharge, they moved to the family farm in 1954, and began raising their family. JoAnn was proud to still be living on the farm she and Harold dedicated so much time to. She was a dedicated member of Medo Lutheran Church in rural Pemberton, and enjoyed puzzles, reading, and watching T.V. (especially game shows and the Vikings).
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold in 1980; a sister; and by her granddaughter, April Kramer.
She is survived by her loving children, David Frantum (significant other, Linda Kiecker), Carol (Ronald) Nelson, John (Julie Hrdlicka) Frantum, and Russell Frantum (fiance, Heidi Johnson); six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; sister, Kayla Ladd; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Medo Lutheran Church in rural Pemberton, with Pastor Patrick Ziems officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Services ~ Arnoldt Chapel in Janesville, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday morning.
In lieu of flowers, JoAnns family requests memorials be made to Medo Lutheran Church, or to the donors choice in her memory.
