Jessica Cruz Lunar

JESSICA CRUZ LUNAR, age 37, of Waseca, died unexpectedly on January 19, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.

She was born on December 5, 1987, in California. She was the daughter of Frank and Ruby (Adame) Lunar. She graduated from Montclair High School – Class of 2006. She worked for ICAN in Waseca for many years where she made lasting relationships within the community. Jessica loved helping others, she would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She loved hard, thought smart, and felt every moment that passed by. She was fun-loving with everyone she met and had the ability to put you in your place while teaching you life skills. She had a deep love for music and learning new instruments on the occasion, she was also very artistic and enjoyed creating art for others. She loved record stores and hanging out with her best friend, her nephew, Benjamin. She will be missed by all who she touched during her short time, in this life.

She is survived by her parents, Frank and Ruby; siblings, LeAnn (Kyle Hanks) Cruz, DeMarcel Gonzalez (Lance Barker), Thomas Gonzalez, Frankie Lunar; nieces and nephews, Benjamin Cruz, Krystin Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Cheyanne Hernandez, Desiree Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Jazmin Gonzalez; grandmother, Dorothy Hernandez; and her dog Veda Mae. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marshall Adame, Frank Lunar, and Amelia Leyva.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 4 – 6 PM at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca. A small prayer service and time of sharing will be held at 6 PM at the funeral home.
