Jeannine Marie Goodnough

JEANNINE “JEAN” MARIE GOODNOUGH, age 70 of Janesville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Jean was born in Lynwood, California on January 27, 1953, to parents Obed “Ernie” and Patricia (Kings Mill) Earnest. She attended school in Blue Island, Illinois. Following her high school graduation, she met and married Wade Goodnough in Blue Island. Over the years, Jean worked various jobs at Brown Printing, Menards, the Janesville Nursing Home, and most recently in the shipping and receiving department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. She loved her flowers, her dogs, and her morning walks. She also attended “any church that liked to sing” but had a special affinity for Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato and Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.

Jean is survived by her husband, Wade Goodnough of Janesville; three children, Jamie Goodnough of Janesville, Tiffany (Michael) Eustice of Virginia, and Cassandra Goodnough of Virginia; two grandchildren, Brady and Ryden Eustice; and one brother, John (Carol) Earnest of Illinios. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Wood; and two very special Labradors, Tina and Jax.

According to Jean’s wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Janesville is handling Jean’s final affairs.
