Jeannette Boyd November 23, 1947 - April 14, 2012

Jeannette "Jeannie" Boyd, age 64, of Faribault, passed away on April 14, 2012 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Dr., Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Jeannette Mary Boyd, the daughter of Ernest "Bud" and Mary (Weingartz) DeMars, was born on November 23, 1947 in Faribault. She graduated from Faribault High School. Jeannie worked at St. Lucas Care Center as a nurse''s aide for several years. Despite mental and physical disabilities, she lived every day of her 64 years unfettered by anger, greed, envy or hatred. She lived steadfast in her faith and with unconditional love for everyone around her. She is survived by four sisters, Barbara Duckett (Ken) of Faribault, Patricia (Chuck) Kratt of Oakdale, Bonita (Gene) Sassor of Afton and Susan (Val) Kruger of Morristown; six brothers, Andrew (Kay) DeMars of Lakeville, Joseph (Evon) DeMars of Rochester, Ernest J. (Deb) DeMars, Peter DeMars, and Terrance (Diane) DeMars, all of Faribault, and Jeffrey (Ellen) DeMars of Warsaw; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Alan DeMars.
