Jeannette B. Schaetzke August 10, 1916 - August 31, 2013

Jeannette B. Schaetzke, age 97, of Janesville, MN passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Colony Court Memory Care and Suites in Waseca.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment will be at the St. John''s - Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Iosco Township, Waseca County, MN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville.

Jeannette Beatrice Anderson was born on August 10, 1916 to Harry and Calmie (Hanson) Anderson in New Richland Township, Waseca County, MN. She was baptized Sept. 17, 1916 and confirmed May 24, 1931 at LeSueur River Lutheran Church in New Richland Township. She was united in marriage to Harvey Schaetzke on January 4, 1940 at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church in Waseca, MN. Jeannette and Harvey moved to Janesville in 1948.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Seniors, helped in the Braille Workcenter, and volunteered for home delivered meals program. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Joel Schaetzke of Janesville, Marlys Overlie and husband Don of Owatonna, David Schaetzke and wife Rebecca of New Ulm, MN, and Marcia (Dimmel) Schultz and husband Jim of Janesville; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Luella and Loretta Anderson, Lucille Greeney, and Esther Schaetzke; one brother-in-law, Bill Hilmes; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey on November 10, 1988; four brothers;

and two sisters.
