JEANNE M. (GINTER) CASSIDY, of Morristown, died, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Bridgewater Assisted Living in Janesville.
Born on July 19, 1935, in New Prague. She was the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (Picha) Ginter. She graduated from Montgomery High School, Class of 1953. On April 7, 1956, she married Joseph Cassidy. Throughout her life, Jeanne worked at Brown Printing as an assembler, Elm Homes as a cook, and Hy Vee as a cake decorator and baker. Jeanne loved baking, especially her famous kolache; cooking for her entire family during the holidays was something she dearly enjoyed. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, the Rosary Society, and a long-time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.
She is survived by her children, Gerald “Jerry” (Jenny) Cassidy, John Cassidy, Jerome (Shannon) Cassidy all of Waseca, Joseph Cassidy of Morristown, Julie (Bruno) Musel of Waseca; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers Arnie and Stanley, and sister Lucy.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at the Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service – Waterville Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Andrew Stuve officiating. Visitation will continue for one hour at the church, prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
