JEAN FERN TIMMERMAN, age 90 of Waseca died on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

Born on March 6, 1929 in Janesville, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Henry and Myra (Hiom) Gerdts.  She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Janesville.  Jean married Donald Timmerman on February 8, 1952 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in New Richland with Rev. Lehman officiating.  She was a homemaker and worked for Bumps and Bonnie Brown for 40 years.  Jean loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her girlfriends.
She is survived by two children, David Timmerman Sr. of Waseca and Connie Ruedy of Waseca; five grandchildren, Wesley (Sara) Ruedy, Christian Ruedy, David (Lisa Williamsen) Timmerman Jr., Katie Timmerman, and Michael (Danielle) Timmerman; and nine great grandchildren, Austin Ruedy, Spencer Ruedy, Kayley, Riley, and Colten Ruedy, David Timmerman, Dominique Timmerman, Braiden Timmerman, and Aubrey Timmerman.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Marvin, Eugene, Myron, and Robert Gerdts; sister, Lila Anderson; and son-in-law, Bradley Ruedy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 3:00 PM at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Otisco.  Burial will follow at the Otisco Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour before services at the church.
