Jean Bjorkman October 5, 1946 - February 4, 2011

Jean A. Bjorkman, age 64 of Faribault, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating, and a VFW Auxiliary Tribute will be conducted by the VFW Post 141 Auxiliary. Jean Ann Freeman, the daughter of Daniel Joseph and Loretta Mae (Lambert) Freeman, was born on October 5, 1946 in Faribault, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1964. She married Richard Burch, they had four children and were later divorced. Jeannie worked at ABC Bus and the Wilson Center before working more recently at the Turkey Plant in Faribault and Faribault Foods. She married Robert Bjorkman on August 5, 1997 in Sturgis, SD. Jeannie was very active with Veterans organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 141 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 43 Auxiliary, and the Military Order of the Cooties. Jeannie and Bob enjoyed traveling together and taking rides on the Harley. She was very active with many crafts including scrapbooking, crocheting, and knitting. Most of all, Jeannie treasured her time spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Faribault; her mother, Mae Freeman of Faribault; four children, Shawn Brunner (Frank Chavie), Mike Burch (Tina Qucelseth), Trisha Whitcomb of Faribault, and Pat (Jenny) Burch, all of Faribault; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step-children, Michael (Lisa) Bjorkman of St. Paul and Chris (Chad) Domino of McGregor, MN; three brothers, Daniel "Butch" Freeman of Backus, MN, Ken Freeman of Faribault, and Rick Freeman, Medford; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; and former husband, Richard Burch.
