At age one the family moved from Browns Valley, MN to Trimont, MN where he began his education, K-4. In 1979 he moved to Baltic, SD with his parents and sister where he continued in grades 5 & 6. In 1981 they moved to Flandreau, SD and he graduated in 1987. There he played basketball and football. That fall he began classes at BHSU in Spearfish, SD, graduating with an Associate Degree in Drafting. It was here he met his future wife, Jacqueline Duvall. He was especially excited when the boys were both able to play football at the Metrodome. Josse joined the Army National Guard and even though he was sick from his
Chemo treatments, made the trip to Ft. Jackson, SC with his wife, sons and mother to attend her graduation, a proud day.
He was diagnosed with Hodgkin''s Lymphoma in June of 2014 and was cancer free in Jan. 2015. Shortly after he became sick with a still unknown cause, he flew with his wife to San Antonio, TX for Josse''s graduation from AIT Army Medic on Jan. 23, 2015. He entered Rochester Mayo Clinic on Jan. 25 where he was a patient until his death on March 28.
