Jane Cole July 18, 1947 - July 5, 2014

Jane Cole, age 66 of Waseca, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her home following a sudden illness.

A Celebration of Jane''s Life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca.

In lieu of flowers, Jane''s family requests memorials be made to the Waseca Arts Council in her memory.

Jane Louise, the daughter of Melvin and Inez (Stoering) Meyer was born on July 18, 1947 in Faribault, Minnesota. She was baptized in Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca. She graduated from Waseca High School in 1965 and went on to graduate with honors from Minnesota State University Mankato in 1998. Jane was married to Dennis Cole and they were later divorced. She eventually retired in 2013 from E.F. Johnson and Itron after 32 years. Jane spent several years volunteering at the Waseca Arts Center. She also enjoyed growing flowers, collecting rocks, reading, and music.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Enoch) Blazis of Northfield; son, Jeff (Annie Shaw) Cole of New Richland; mother, Inez Meyer of Waseca; brother, Brian (Wei) Meyer of Waseca; uncles, Dr. Harlan Meyer, Gene (Virginia) Stoering, and Paul Tjosvold; aunts, Marion Meyer and Beverly Meyer; and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Meyer; and her grandparents.
