James W. Dawson May 26, 1993 - October 14, 2014

James William Dawson, age 21, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on October 14, 2014 surrounded by friends and family.

James was born on May 26, 1993 in Chester, PA. He and his family moved to Faribault when James was 6 months old, and moved to Minneapolis many years later. James had many friends and family members in Faribault and enjoyed his visits over the past few years.

James was diagnosed with brain cancer three years ago. He fought hard, with much courage and an extraordinary faith in God. During these last months, James persevered with courage, grace and dignity, and always with a smile on his face. James will be remembered by all for his beautiful personality, his generosity, and wonderful sense of humor.

James is survived by his mother, Kesha Cooper; father, George Dawson; brothers, Dominique, Corey, and Keton; sister, Tyesha; and his great uncle and aunt, Jeff and Joan Anderson; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ethel Cooper; aunts, Gloria Davis and Rosalind Cooper; and cousins, Tyson and Brandon Davis.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, MN.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
