James 'Toby' Manley December 21, 2011
James M. "Toby" Manley, age 67, formerly of Waldorf and Mankato died on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester. To honor Jim''s wish, private family services are being planned. Arrangements are being completed by McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca. James Melvin was born in Traverse City, Michigan on June 4, 1944 to Raymond "Ray" and Margaret "Peg" (Melvin) Manley. He graduated from Waldorf-Pemberton High School in Waldorf in 1962. Jim worked for a time for the railroad, and had his own lawn care service in Waldorf. He worked for many years as a janitor at the Waldorf Caf. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and being outdoors. Jim raised pigeons and also owned horses and loved riding them on long trail rides. He always enjoyed watching Western movies on television and at the movie theaters. Jim is survived by two brothers, Terry Manley of San Diego, CA and Richard (Mary) Manley of Puebleo, CO; by his sister, Shari (Jim) Beckel of Cleveland, MN; his niece, Stacey and nephew, Kevin; by two grand nieces, Courtney and Carlie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his niece, Cheryl Ann and nephew, Michael; by his sister-in-law, Bonnie. "Toby''s" Family would like to thank the staff at, the Mayo System Health Clinic-Mankato, the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato, and St. Mary''s Hospital in Rochester for their exceptional care and kindness.
