James "Jim" Jeremiah Cunningham

JAMES “JIM” JEREMIAH CUNNINGHAM, age 82 of Inver Grove Heights, passed away on Thursday, December 30, at Central Health Care in Le Center.

Jim was born in Rochester on October 29, 1939 to Donald and Virginia (Purvis) Cunningham. Following high school he honorably served his country in the United States Airforce, and was married to Janice Jones in Claremont. Following his time in the Air Force Jim worked to become a corporate pilot. He retired as the chief pilot for Carlson Companies in 1999. He loved children and dogs, and enjoyed playing softball, biking, and boating.

Jim is survived by his son, Randy (Shirley) Cunningham of Waterville; four siblings, Sue (Al) Pehler of Billings, MT, Mike Cunningham of Sevierville, TN, Darcie (Gary) Taylor of Brooklyn Park, MN, and Kim (Cindy) Cunningham of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, and one grandson, Ryan.

According to Jim’s wishes, no public services will be scheduled. Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
