James E. McKenna
JAMES EDWARD MCKENNA, age 93 of Waseca died on Monday, February 18, 2019 at District 1 Hospital in Faribault.
Born on February 10, 1926 in Lexington, Missouri, he was the son of George and Aimee Alice (Norton) OConnor. He attended high school in Lamar, MO and later graduated from Franklin University in Columbus, OH with a degree in Business Administration. He served in the US Navy during World War II, from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. James married Ruth Neil on September 4, 1948 in Covington, KY. He was employed with Westinghouse for over 32 years. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and boating. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca and the American Legion.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie (Kenneth) Humphries of Waseca; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Susan Montgomery; and two brothers, Patrick and Terence McKenna.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
