James Brownlee March 22, 1939 - August 19, 2012

James L. Brownlee Sr., age 73 of Faribault and formerly of Montgomery, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault following an extended illness. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Dr.) in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault. James LeRoy Brownlee Sr., the son of George and Thelma (Norton) Brownlee, was born on March 22, 1939 in Los Angeles, California. After graduating high school, James enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge, he began his career with Southern Pacific Rail Road. James later moved to Montgomery where he enjoyed collecting, appraising and selling antiques of any style. He is survived by his children, Jimmy (Melissa) Brownlee and their children Mason and Jordyn of Montgomery, Heather Brownlee of Montgomery and Steve, David and Dan Brownlee and families of Torrance, CA; his siblings, Bill Brownlee and Susan Buckingham and by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
