Irene Rafter July 17, 1942 - February 14, 2010

Irene M. Rafter, age 67 of Faribault, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault with Scott Henz officiating. Interment will be held at the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Burnsville, MN. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Irene Mae Rafter, the daughter of Lester and Evelyn (Anderson) Rafter, was born on July 17, 1942 in Farmington, MN. She attended Lakeville High School and graduated with the class of 1960. Following high school Irene worked as a nurse''s aide at Ebenezer Ridges in Minneapolis and Burnsville. In 1992 she moved to Faribault. Irene enjoyed fishing, traveling, craft and spending time with her family, especially with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her best friend of the family, Lori Britton of Faribault; by her brother, Ken Rafter of Burnsville, MN; by her niece, Liesl (Scott) Henz of Elk River, MN; by two nephews, Brian (Amy) Rafter of Seattle, WA and Matthew Rafter of St. Paul, MN; by great nieces and nephews, Aarich Ramsey, Rainy Ramsey, Aiden Henz, Evan Henz and Penny Rafter and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elaine "Lano" Rafter.
