Hudson Alan Mittelstaedt

December 29, 2020 — May 21, 2021

HUDSON ALAN MITTELSTAEDT, age four months and twenty three days, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 21, 2021.

Born six weeks prematurely, Hudson spent the first eight days of his life in the NICU in Rochester. He was determined to fight through his tough start and made it home far sooner than anyone expected. Hudson was baptized the weekend before his passing at Trinity Lutheran Church – Wilton by Rev. Larry Sipe. He was a happy little boy who almost never cried. He smiled at everyone, easily and often, without any prompting. He loved his bottle and brought joy to everyone he met.

Hudson is survived by his parents, Mitch and Kayla Mittelstaedt of Waseca; his big sister, Harper Mittelstaedt; his maternal grandparents, Brian and Michelle VanMinsel of Brownsville; his paternal grandparents, Scott Mittelstaedt of Medford and Brad and Lisa Mens of Waseca; several great-grandparents, Elaine VanMinsel, Richard Johnson, George and Sharlene Winegar, and Jean Mens; aunts and uncles, Danyelle VanMinsel and her significant other, Mitch Meiners, Brooke VanMinsel, Ted Mens and his fiancé Madison Meixner, Joe Mens, Anna Mens, Grace Mens, Daniel Mens, Thomas Mens, Brennen Mittelstaedt, and Devon Mittelstaedt; and his cousins, Daxton Meiners, Mila Mens, Darcey Mens, and Lucy Mens. He was preceded in death by several great-grandparents.

A public visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the third street chapel of Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services.

A private family service and interment will be held on Wednesday.
