HENRY DUENES, age 65 of Waseca, died at his Maple Terrace home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on May 10, 1952, Henry was the son of Joe and Andrea (Garcia) Duenes.  Growing up he attended school in New Richland.  Following his graduation he served in the United States Navy.  Over the following years Henry worked as a mechanic and welder, and also worked for Mike Wydert Farms.  Following his divorce from his first wife, Barb, he later married Deb Gossman in Rochester, and together they lived in Florida where he worked as a welder, and later in Georgia where he worked on the Hardees racecar for Cale Yarborough racing.  After moving back to Minnesota in 1986 he went on to work at McNeilus Steel and Mustang Manufacturing.  Henry had a wonderful sense of humor, he greatly enjoyed his talent for welding and the automotive industry, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Henry is survived by his children, Jason Duenes of Owatonna, Melissa (Kent) Lindberg-Duenes of Austin, Zak (Leah) Duenes of Austin, Crystal Larson of Rochester, Steven (Jade) Duenes of Heartland, Eric Duenes and his girlfriend Brittany Melendrez of Waseca, and Jennifer Duenes of Waseca; twelve grandchildren; four siblings, Romero (Judy) Duenes of Rochester, Frank Duenes and his girlfriend Lynn Gostomczik of Janesville, Mary Podratz of Waseca, and Lisa Baldwin North Dakota.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and four beloved Aunts, Chela, Tila, Rosa, and Bonita. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
