Henrietta K Peters June 20, 1937 - August 20, 2015
Henrietta Peters, age 78, of Waseca passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
Henrietta was born on June 20, 1937, along with twin, Henry, to Martin and Teresa (Amberg) Kaiser at the Waseca Memorial Hospital. She attended Waldorf High School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waseca in 1955. She was united in marriage to Marlin Peters on October 12, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Henrietta worked at the Farmers National Bank (Round Bank) and Waseca Public Schools. In 1972, her husband was transferred to Mitchell, SD and they resided there until their return to Waseca in 1979. She was employed at the University of Minnesota, Waseca campus from 1981 to 1991 and was co-owner of M Peters Enterprises, Inc. until her passing.
Henrietta was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a former member of the Waseca Eagles, Owatonna Eagles, Lakeside Country Club, and a current member of the Waseca American Legion Auxiliary Post 228. She enjoyed her family, all their get- togethers, cards, crossword puzzles, reading, seeing friends, going on short trips (local area casinos), long trips, and cruises.
Henrietta is survived by her husband of 57 years, Marlin of Waseca; children, Matthew (JoEllen) of St. Peter, Mark (Jenny) of Colorado, Mary (Walt) Mobley of Tennessee, and Michael (Julie Ann) of Waseca; 6 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 6 step great- grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Belvy); sister, Sr. Yvette (Leona) Kaiser; and by many
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cletus, Robert, Richard, Leo, Henry, Mark, and 3 in infancy; and sisters, Bernice Bilben, Barbara Dibble, and Mary Lynch.
