Harriet V. Priem

HARRIET VIOLA PRIEM, age 96 of Janesville died on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Whispering Creek in Janesville.

Born on October 19, 1923 in Waseca County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Leonard and Alma (Schlie) Krueger. Harriet attended school at Trinity Lutheran in Janesville. She married Sylvester Priem on June 5, 1941. She worked as a homemaker raising her two daughters. Following Sylvester’s death, Harriet married Dennis Jenniges on September 2, 1989. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, playing cards, walking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville where she volunteered much of her time and had been active with the Ladies Aid and Bible Study. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Bob) Svoboda of Spring, TX and Vicki (Dave) Barbknecht of Janesville; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow at St. John’s Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township.
