Harriet M. Reuvers November 29, 1919 - December 25, 2012
Harriet M. Reuvers, age 93, of Faribault, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, with Fr. Kevin Finnegan, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Thursday from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Harriet Marie Maas, the daughter of Adrian and Minnie (Bongers) Maas, was born on November 29, 1919 in Faribault. She was married to Anthony M. Reuvers on July 6, 1938 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1984. Harriet farmed with her husband and was a wonderful homemaker who raised twelve children. She enjoyed sewing, upholstery, gardening and her flowers. Harriet was a kind and gentle woman offering her heart and friendship to many. Most importantly she tremendously cared for and loved her family deeply. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Divine Mercy CCW and funeral choir, and her card clubs.
She is survived by her 12 children, Jerry (Marge) Reuvers of Faribault, Janet Miller (Mike Holmgren) of Faribault, Joyce (Bruce) Crandall of Monticello, John Reuvers (and friend, Barb) of Nevis, Betty (Gene) Berge of Faribault, Dan (Barb) Reuvers of Morristown, Joan (George) Delaske of Faribault, Jane (Steve) Drevlow of Faribault, Roxie (Ron) Mitchell of Faribault, Steven Reuvers of Faribault, Jackie (Peter) Gretz of Faribault, and Therese "Tess" (Gary) Miller of LeSueur; 31 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Kathy) Maas of Melbourne, FL and Ed Maas of Faribault; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Reuvers of Dundas and Marlys Maas of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends.
She siblings, Matthies; Bultman, was Bertha preceded and brothers-in-law, Nora Hirdler, in Irwin; death Dorothy and Ted, by son-in-law, her Pete, Hausen, husband, and Bill Tom Bernard Anthony; Reuvers; Miller.
