HARRIET LENORA ENGER, age 88 of Janesville, died on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Laurels Peak in Mankato.
Born in Mankato on February 23, 1931, to Harry and Lenora (White) Earle. Harriet grew up in Mankato and attended Mankato Public Schools. She was married to Robert Dawson and they were later divorced. On December 31, 1969, Harriet was united in marriage to William Oscar Enger Sr. in Algona, Iowa. Throughout her life, Harriet worked for Red Owl, National Tea, Kato Ballroom, Madsens, Brown Printing, Model Dairy and at the Senior Center in Waseca. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville and the American Legion Auxiliary in Janesville. Harriet enjoyed traveling and going to the casino, she especially cherished the time she spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harriet is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William; children: Caroline Fredrick of North Mankato, Clayton (Shannon) Dawson of New Richland, Violet (Dan) Wynnemer of Mankato, Tina Martin of Mankato, Tammy (Brian Robeck) Enger of LeSueur, Scott (Heidi) Enger of New Richland, and William Oscar Enger Jr. of Mankato; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; siblings: Ruth Jones of Prescott, WI, Denny (Carol) Earle of Mankato, and Anna (Daryl) Stordahl of Mankato; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Paul Muther and Rev. Brian Johnston officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
