Harold Frank Tesch, age 94, of Waldorf, died peacefully on Friday afternoon, February 15, 2019, at Traditions of Waterville.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf with Rev. Michael Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Harold Frank Tesch was born on January 26, 1925, in Freedom Township, Waseca County, Minnesota at the home of his parents, Alvin "Otto" and Marie (Kluender) Tesch. Harold was baptized on February 15, 1925 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Vivion Township by pastor E.H. Mueller. Harold was confirmed on May 29, 1938, at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. He graduated in 1944 from Waldorf High School. Harold was drafted into the United States Army on December 8, 1944, serving in Germany during WWII before being honorably discharged on August 28, 1946. On October 5, 1947, Harold was united in marriage to Marie Brown at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Together they raised their family in Freedom Township. Harold was a dairy farmer the majority of his life, also working as a DHIA milk tester for many years. He was active in the agricultural community, serving as the Waldorf Peppy Peppers 4-H Leader for 27 years, Farm Bureau Board of Directors in Waseca County and Mayor of Waldorf for 10 years. He was active with the Waldorf American Legion Post 587 where he served as Post Commander and Treasurer. Harold was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Waldorf, where he served as Treasurer and Trustee for many years. He enjoyed camping, sharing his war stories, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family.
Harold is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marie of Waterville; children: Clifford of Waseca, Audrey (Doug) Bruender of rural Waldorf, Curtis (Sara Roemhildt) Tesch of Waseca, Diane (Bill) Radil of Montgomery; grandchildren: Angie (Tim) Swanson, Lori Bruender, James (Amanda) Bruender, Daniel (Breanna) Bruender, Jacob (Julia) Bruender, Allison Tesch, Drew Tesch, Jeremy (Sara) Lindeman, Matthew Lindeman, and Amanda (Tanner) Schuldt; nine great grandchildren; brother Armin (Darlene) Tesch of Waldorf; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eldor (Hildagard) Tesch; sisters: Irmgard (Eldor) Schoenrock and Irene (Armin) Mueller.
