Grace V. Weber
GRACE VERNA WEBER, age 88 of Waseca, died on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.
Born in Waseca on May 29, 1927, Grace was the daughter of Frank and Lydia (Draheim) Wood.  Grace grew up on a dairy farm in rural Waseca with her two brothers and four sisters.  She attended Waseca Public Schools and graduated from Waseca High School in 1945.  Grace then worked as a bookkeeper for Diechen Rural Electric of Waseca until her marriage to Emery Weber.  She and Emery were married at the First Congregational Church of Waseca on September 7, 1957.  Together they ran their dairy farm in rural Waseca where they raised two boys, Joel and Harold.  In 1983 they stopped dairy farming but continued to reside in rural Waseca while Grace returned to work at the E.F. Johnson Company until her retirement.  Grace loved being in the outdoors on the farm with all the animals.  She was an avid reader of all books but liked history the best.  She also enjoyed the monthly Readers Digest.  She loved to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and she cherished the time she spent with them.  She was a lifelong member of First Congregational Church in Waseca and the Waseca VFW Auxiliary.
Grace is survived by her husband, Emery of Waseca; two sons, Joel (Betty) Weber and Harold (Joan) Weber all of Waseca; seven grandchildren, Jon (Kristine) Weber, Melissa Gilmore, Christopher Weber, Megan (James) Flintrop, Alicia (Dustin) Stewart, Nicholas Weber, and Andrew Weber; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Francis (Robert) Muedeking and Dorothy Spies, both of Waseca; sisters-in-law, Lois Wood, Arlene Weber, and Janet Weber.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Orlando and Patrick; two sisters, Edith Wood and Marion Clayton; brothers-in-law, Marvin and Melvin Weber, Arvid Spies, and Roy Clayton; sister-in-law, Peggy Wood; and three nephews, Jerry, Larry, & Chuck Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the First Congregational Church in Waseca with Rev. Chris Meirose officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held for two hours before the service at the church on Monday.
