GORDON EARL ZELLMER, age 91, formerly of Waterville died on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Foxdale in Waseca.
Born on September 27, 1926 in Waterville Township, Minnesota, he was the son of Hugo and Ella (Kelm) Zellmer.  He was baptized and confirmed as well as attended school at St. Peters "Bell" Lutheran Church.  He married Dorothy Richter on September 5, 1948 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kilkenny where he was a long-time member and served as an elder and trustee as well as sang in the choir.  He farmed his entire life in Le Sueur County and enjoyed working in the garden and animals.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Waseca; two children, Linda (Robert) Joseph of Waterville and Richard (LuAnn) Zellmer of Waseca; three grandchildren, Craig, Eric, and Amy; and three great grandchildren, Maria, Mason and Jaylin.  He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Eloise Zellmer of Waterville; brother-in-law, Robert Richter of Faribault; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leo and Harold Zellmer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kilkenny.  Burial will follow at Sabre Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
