GLORIA JEAN HECKENLIABLE, age 77 of Waterville died on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault.
Born on June 9, 1941 in Waterville, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Mark and Verna (Bartle) Olson.  She graduated from Waterville High School in 1959 and went on to receive her degree in English from Mankato State.  Gloria married Ronald Heckenliable in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1969.  She worked as a special education teacher and substitute teacher for the Waterville-Elysian School District and was employed with Bergs Pharmacy in Waterville for over 30 years.  She loved books and was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to the casino with her family.  Gloria also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Monday Night Bowling League.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.
She is survived by three daughters, Robin Heckenliable of Henderson, NV, Susan Heckenliable of Faribault, and Kathleen (Richard Fredenburg) Heckenliable of Morristown.  She is also survived by two sisters, Sheila (Roger) Velishek of Waterville and Nancy (Richard) Hackett of Kilkenny and three nephews.  Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and beloved aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Gordon Larson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.  Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
