GERALDINE CATHERINE LARSON, age 93 of Waterville, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Janesville Nursing Home.
Born in Waterville on December 30, 1922, Geraldine was the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Stummel) Bartle. Several years after graduating from Waterville High School she married Gordon W. Larson on March 4, 1946 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville. She was an active member of the Rosary Society at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for many years. Nothing was more important to Gerry than family. She had a gentle heart and always reached out to help. She provided her family with many wonderful holiday traditions. She loved with a full heart and was loved deeply in return. She was rarely seen without a smile on her face, and she will be greatly missed.
Geraldine is survived by one daughter, Juilee (Tom) Short of Elysian; three grandchildren, Christopher Short of Prior Lake, Kyle (Rachel) Short of Elysian, and Jennifer (Kyle) Friesen of Shakopee; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorayne Grover of Cottage Grove, OR. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; and one sister, Verna Olson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
