Gerald J. Mulcahey February 10, 1949 - December 2, 2014

Gerald John Mulcahey, age 65, of Waseca and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Hospital in Mankato following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Gerald John, son of Gerald and Genevieve (Mahon) Mulcahey, was born on February 10, 1949 in Mankato, MN. He attended Janesville High School before joining the United States Navy. He lived in Chicago for many years before moving to Waseca in 2009. He was a car salesman for many years. He also worked as a dance instructor. Gerald enjoyed fishing and watching football and the Minnesota Twins.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Genevieve Mulcahey of Janesville; his children, Kristi (Gerald) Fennert of Waseca, Kory Mulcahey of Chicago, IL, and Kely Mulcahey of Chicago IL; three grandchildren, Andrew of Green Bay, WI, Kaleb of Waseca, and Avery of Chicago; siblings, Roseann (David) Malenfant of Bonita Springs, FL, Kathy (Mark) Langer of Farmington, MN, Becky (Kevin) Monahan of Janesville, Doreen (Mark) Oelke of Waseca, Dennis Mulcahey of Janesville, and Shannon Burg of Le Center, MN; and by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother-in-law, Terry Burg.
