Georgeda H. Wilker

Georgeda Wilker, age 88, of Janesville, died on Monday afternoon, December 10, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Paul Muther and Rev. Larry Griffin, officiating. Interment in Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
Visitaiton will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Memorials are preferred to the Janesville Nursing Home Activities Department.
Georgeda Harriet Willock was born on December 31, 1929, in Waseca, the oldest of six children born to George and Dorothy (Herrley) Willock. She grew up in rural Waseca and attended country school. On Valentines Day, 1956, Georgeda was united in marriage to Ernest Wilker in Prescott, WI. Georgeda worked for various companies in Waseca including: Swift Produce Company, Herters, and Birds Eye. She spent most of her career working for Brown Printing in Waseca for 35 years, retiring in 1998. Following her retirement Georgeda moved to Arizona where she spent 11 years before moving back to Minnesota in 2009, to be closer to family.
Georgeda was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Waseca while raising her family and in her later years she joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. She was an amazing baker and cook. Her children fondly remember her spending late nights making various styles of Christmas cookies. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Georgeda especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Georgeda is survived by her children: Pamela Meyer of Waseca, Jody (Teri) Wilker of Waseca, and Roxann (Mike) Knudson of Eagle Lake; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Betty (Ervin) Flitter of Janesville, Marie Crandell of Willmar, Patti Holcomb of Kingman, AZ, George (Norma) Willock of Auburn, AL, and Polly (Larry) Schake of Madison, MN; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents: George and Dorothy (Herrley) Willock; and her husband, Ernest Wilker.
