Gary Cowdin November 27, 1923 - November 11, 2008

Gary L. Cowdin, age 64, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph''s Hospital in Mankato. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville. Interment will be in the Janesville Cemetery. Gary Lee was born on November 27, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN. He was adopted by Murriel and Irmgard (Proechel) Cowdin of Janesville He was baptized on December 17, 1943 by Rev. Otto Krause at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Gary was confirmed on April 14, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. G.A. Perlich. He attended Janesville schools. Gary worked for various businesses including, Wally Danberry Tiling of Janesville and Herter''s in Waseca. He was then employed at Misch''s Shoe Service in Mankato repairing shoes, and eventually opened up his own business, Cowdin''s Shoe Repair in Waseca. Gary was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Janesville. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He is survived by his brothers, Jerel (Pam) Cowdin and Steven (Susan) Cowdin all of Janesville; by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his father Murriel Cowdin on January 26, 1967 and his mother Irmgard Cowdin on December 12, 1990.
