Frieda M. Perron, age 89, of Faribault, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Inn Town House in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Sacred Heart in Faribault, with the Rev. Fernando Ortega, officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services. Parish prayers will be recited on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Memorials are preferred to Divine Mercy Catholic Church New Beginnings Building Fund, Divine Mercy CCW or Bethlehem Academy. Frieda Marie Waskosky, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary (Remillard) Waskosky, was born on July 24, 1919 in Forest Township, Rice County, MN. She attended Faribault High School and also Medford High School, graduating with the class of 1937. Following high school Frieda attended nursing school at St. Joseph''s in St. Paul. On October 26, 1943 she was united in marriage to Clement D. Perron at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Mr. Perron preceded her in death on March 27, 1993. After their marriage they lived on their farm in Wells Township for 49 years. Frieda first worked in food service at Shattuck School. Later she started cooking at Mealey''s and the Huckleberry Inn for over 28 years. In 2000, Frieda moved from the farm into Faribault. While on the farm, Frieda enjoyed participating in 4-H and was a Leader for the Wells Willing and Ready Club. For many years Frieda was a vendor at the Farmer''s Market selling her garden harvest. When in Faribault, she was an active member of the Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women sewing and quilting club and participated in the Grandparents program at Jefferson School. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and quilting most of her life. She also had two very special friends who helped her later in life, her dog Brita, who protected her on the farm after Clem died, and Brewster the loving lap dog who saw her through the end at Inn Town House. She is survived by five children, Louis (Carol) Perron of Faribault, Mary Bergh of Burnsville, MN, Paul (Mary) Perron of St. Louis Park, MN, Lawrence (Julie) Perron of Faribault and Ann (Michael) Koplin of Eden Prairie, MN; by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; by four brothers, Julius (Betty) Waskosky of Big Lake, MN, Lewis Waskosky, Herb Waskosky and Leo (Pat) Waskosky of Henning, MN; by her sister Lorrayne (Clifford) Morris, Conrad, TX
