Fred Arnoldt March 30, 1938 - September 21, 2008
Frederick J. Arnoldt, age 70 of Janesville, died on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, with Fr. Peter Klein, Fr. David Arnoldt, and Fr. Syl Brown con-celebrating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, and will continue on Wednesday morning for one hour prior to services. There will be an 8:00 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary prayed Tuesday evening at church. Arrangements are being handled by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to ISJ Hospice. Fred was born on March 30, 1938 in Waseca, Minnesota to Leo P. and Eileen V. (Thissen) Arnoldt. Fred attended Janesville Schools and the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca, graduating in 1956. He went on to attend Minnesota State University in Mankato. On September 1, 1962 Fred was united in marriage to Diane E. Murphy in St. Paul, Minnesota. For ten years Fred owned and operated Arnoldt Construction Co. For over 30 years he worked as construction superintendent for R.W. Carlstrom Co. in Mankato, retiring in 2007. He was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. Fred was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus St. Ann''s Council #8184 , and a member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus - Leo Welsh Assembly #552. He is survived by his wife Diane of Janesville, and his children Kimberly Arnoldt of Waseca, Timothy (Teri) Arnoldt of New Ulm, Kelly (Keith) Eustice of Janesville, Kate (Tom) Nicolai of St. Clair, and Andy (Sarah) Arnoldt of Janesville; by his grandchildren, T.J., Tyler, Travis, Ryan, Sam, Taylor, Tuckor, Phil, Jane, Ben, Abby, Joey, and Danny; by his brother, Fr. David Arnoldt of Evans, GA, and his sisters Maureen Barrett of St. Paul, Kate (Steve) George of Hayward, WIS, and Elizabeth Arnoldt of Mankato. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Phil Arnoldt.
