Franklin Lee Miller

FRANKLIN LEE MILLER, age 77 of Janesville, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Oaklawn Rehabilitation Center in Mankato.

Born in Carroll, Iowa on May 20, 1945, Franklin was the son of Chester and Eva (Bromert) Miller. After graduating from Audubon High School, he served his country in the United States Navy. On June 9, 1978, Frank was united in marriage to Becky Abraham at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. Together they made their life in Janesville until her passing in 1999. Throughout his working years he was employed as an Electronics Field Engineer for the E.F. Johnson Company and Itron in Waseca. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a long-time member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, the Janesville American Legion Post #281, and the Prairie Ridge Golf Club in Janesville.

Franklin is survived by three children, Joshua Miller and his significant other Angelique Millner of Waseca; Justin Miller and his significant other Cosette Nelson of Janesville, and Ashley Miller of Janesville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Helen (Steve) Miner of Shawnee, KS, and Rosemary (Darrel) Jones of Fort Walton Beach, FL. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Helen Young; three sisters-in-law, Lori Abraham, Giesela Miller, and Kuem Mi Miller; and a brother-in-law, John Abraham. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife; and two brothers, Chester “Chet” Miller, and Ken Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service, with Father Brian Mulligan officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home on Saturday. A private family interment will take place at Janesville Cemetery in the spring of 2023.
