Frances M. Cassidy January 17, 1924 - December 12, 2015

Frances M. Cassidy, age 91, of Waconia, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away December 12, 2015, at Lighthouse of Waconia Assisted Living.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Arrangements are being completed with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

Frances Mary was born on January 17, 1924 in Faribault to George and Celania (Caron) Morris. She graduated from Faribault High School and later was married to Thomas Cassidy in 1957. Fran worked at Carleton College in the President''s office, for the telephone company in Minneapolis and Faribault, for the Ketchikan Alaska Pulp Mill, and retired from Humphrey Manlift in Faribault. Fran was a devoted mother to Mary and son- in-law Tim, and grandma to Brian (Ruth), Maddie, and Steven. She liked to read, play bingo and cards, and was always up for a good party. The greatest gifts she gave family and friends were her smile and unconditional love.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Tim) Lenker of Eden Prairie, MN; grandchildren, Brian (Ruth) Lenker, Madeline Lenker, and Steven Lenker; sisters, Barbara (Richard) Rost of Faribault, and MaryAnn Urquhart of Anchorage, AK; brother, James (Joyce) Morris of Fairfield Bay, AR; sister-in-law, Dorothy Morris of Faribault; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or Family Fest Ministries, 140 W. 98th St., Bloomington, MN 55420, in memory of Fran.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, George and Celania;

sister, Gene Betcher; and brother, George (Joe) Morris.
