Florence Seidl November 13, 1925 - June 10, 2011
Florence C. Seidl, age 85, of Faribault, died on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault, with the Rev. Erik Lundgren, officiating. Interment will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault and will continue on Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services at the church. Florence Christina Hillesheim, the daughter of John and Bertha (Sellner) Hillesheim, was born on November 13, 1925 in Springfield, Minnesota. On November 6, 1945, Florence was united in marriage to Erwin (Erv) Seidl in Levenworth, Minnesota. He later preceded her in death on July 29, 1985. Florence was a store manager at the Ashley Clothing Outlet Faribault and later retired from the Regional Center. She was a member of the VFW Post 1562 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 43 Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge. Florence enjoyed garage sales, shopping of any kind, volunteering at the adoration chapel and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her four children, Butch Seidl of Sedalia, MO, Bob Seidl of Faribault, Susan (Rich) Grass of Scottsdale, AZ and Steve (Barb) Seidl of Faribault; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Will) Townsend, Julie (Doug) Moreland, Thomas (fianc Laura Czech) Seidl, Krisy Seidl, Kali Grass, Brianna (fianc Andrew Leutsch) Grass, Sandy Seidl, Sara Ellerbusch, Austin Seidl and Wade Seidl; by six great grandchildren and by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erv, an infant son, and by her five siblings Agnes Treml, Marie Mathiowetz, Edmond Hillesheim, Helen Helget and James Hillesheim.
