Evelyn Stransky November 15, 1910 - October 25, 2008

Evelyn (Mrs. Edward) Stransky, age 97, of Faribault, died Sat., October 25, 2008 at the District One Hospital in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tues., October 28, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Sacred Heart in Faribault. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church on Tues.from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault. Evelyn Clara Zensen, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Becker) Zensen, was born on Nov.15, 1910 in Faribault. On Nov.26, 1930 she was united in marriage to Edward Stransky. Mr. Stransky preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1983. For most of her life Evelyn stayed at home and raised their family. Later she worked at Wood''s Nursing Home. Evelyn was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagle''s Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary. She is survived by three children, Marlene (Earl) Zimprich of Elysian, MN, Mary (Jerry) Doneux of Faribault and David (Jeanette) Stransky of Maple Grove, MN; by 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Donald Stransky, three sisters, Frances Jones, Ann Rollinger and Margaret Meyers and by three brothers, Ray, Aloysius and Clarence Zensen.
