Ethan Shane Delaske

July 24, 2016 — January 18, 2022

ETHAN SHANE DELASKE, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home in Janesville with his parents and sister by his side at the age of 5 years old.

Ethan Shane was born a healthy baby boy on July 24, 2016. The son of Seth David Hollermann and Nicole Ann Delaske. Ethan was baptized as an infant at the Waterville Evangelical United Methodist Church. When Ethan was just two years old, he developed a limp that led to the discovery of his neuroblastoma cancer. This was the beginning of Ethan’s 3 ½ year battle of surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and antibody treatments and months of hospital stays. During his time in and out of hospitals, Ethan was scared at first as any young boy would be but adapted over time and created great relationships with his nurses and doctors. Through all the ups and downs, his best friend and sister, Maddie was there for Ethan every step of the way, even though they fought a lot as siblings do. Ethan was a fighter!

Ethan was all BOY and loved muddin, riding in his gator, playing with his tractors, racecars, and construction equipment. He also enjoyed swimming and playing with all the baby animals on the farm, especially cats.

Ethan is survived by his parents: Seth and Nicole; sister, Haylee (14); sister and best friend; Maddie (4); grandparents: John and Michele Hollermann and Denny and Kelly Delaske; great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his uncles: Ethan and Shane Hollermann.
